John E. Wilkerson
John Wilkerson studied photojournalism at the University of Southern
Mississippi and has worked as a stringer with the SunHerald
newspaper located in, Gulfport Mississippi, off and on since the 1980's.
John's photos have also been published by The Sea Coast Echo in Bay
St. Louis as well as the Associated Press and MSNBC.com. MSNBC's photo
essay, "The Gulf Coast's Struggle Back", using John's photographs recently
earned two awards from the National Press Photographer's Association. Stories

John donated the use of some of his Katrina photographs, for Katrina relief
fund raising, which were published in the SunHerald's book "Before and After".
John and his Hurricane Katrina photos were featured on The NBC Nightly News

John's photograph titled "Lister's Pond" was published in the 2008
Back Roads and Bayous calender published by Hancock Bank.
